			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Not only am I an employee of Gartner Hyundai, I am also an incredibly happy customer.  Before my tenure with <a title="Homepage" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com" target="_blank">Gartner</a>, though, my first Hyundai was a 2004 Tiburon and I can’t say enough good things about it!  At the time I was desperately looking for something with a great warranty.  I had only owned used cars that I bought privately and found myself buried under the expenses of all the repairs.  I decided it was time to find something that would take care of itself and this is where my story begins.</p>
<p>I arrived at Gartner Hyundai and was  greeted by Mike Budzinski.  I told him I wanted something small and sporty that definitely had some pick up.  He immediately showed me the <a title="Pre-Owned Hyundai Models" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/used-hyundai" target="_blank">Tiburon</a> and it was love at first sight.  It handled beautifully and I loved how fast I could accelerate and take turns.   I always felt like I was in control.  I named him Leo (yes, I am one of those weird people who names my car).   Leo and I had a great run for six years.  I bragged constantly about him and recommended Hyundai to anyone who would listen.  Anytime something was wrong, I would bring it back to Gartner and everything was covered under the warranty.  Being in my early twenties, I did not have money for car repairs so the Hyundai Assurance Plan fit perfectly into my lifestyle.   Unfortunately, Leo was involved in an accident and I had to let him go.  Which brings me back to Gartner Hyundai once again.</p>
<p>I decided that  at this point in my life, it was time for something a little bigger.  I was extremely nervous about driving anything larger than a sports car because I had become so accustomed to that size.  I am only 5’3” and always had the fear that  a crossover or an SUV would be too large and make me feel like I couldn’t control it.  I met with <a title="Mike's Reviews" href="http://www.gartnercarsreviews.com/michael-budzinski" target="_blank">Mike Budzinski </a>once again to go over my options.  The one thing that always concerned me about the Tiburon was driving in inclement conditions.  I knew that I wanted something larger with AWD so I could deal with the weather here in lovely Chicagoland.   </p>
<p>The first thing Mike showed me was a <a title="Tucson Inventory" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-tucson" target="_blank">2011 AWD Tucson</a>.  I liked it right away.   I loved both the interior and exterior; I thought that it still looked really sporty and fun, just like my Tiburon.  The test drive was great because I realized that the Tucson has the heart of a sports car.  I did not feel like I was in an SUV; It was so responsive and fun to drive.  I can drive the Tucson the same way I drove the Tiburon and still get pretty much the same results.   Better yet, the Tuscon is a dream to drive in bad weather.  The last snow storm we had, I was stuck on RTE 59 during rush hour.  Anyone who has been stuck on RTE 59 during rush hour and a snowstorm knows my pain!  I was watching cars all around me sliding, getting stuck, going off the road and spinning out.  My Tuscany (that’s his name) acted like it was driving on dry pavement.  NOT ONCE did I feel like I lost any control of my car.  It did exactly what I wanted it to and never skidded our slid around.  I honestly felt bad for everyone who wasn’t driving my Tuscon.</p>
<p>Another reason I love my Tucson are all the little creature comforts.  I love that I can adjust the height of my seat so its perfect whether I’m wearing heels or flats.  I know the men out there won’t understand but I’m sure any woman reading this will agree that is such a great feature.  I also love being able to control my ipod through the stereo.  Everything on the dashboard is easy to read and the steering wheel controls are so incredibly convenient.  Any one of my friends who has driven my <a title="Tucson Inventory" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-tucson" target="_blank">Tucson</a> wants one for themselves.  I tell them to go to <a title="Homepage" href="http://www.gartnercars.com" target="_blank">Gartner</a> because I’m never getting rid of mine!!!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>GREAT NEWS </strong>for everyone waiting on the All New 2012 Hyundai Azera!  The Azera release date has been set! <a title="Homepage" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com" target="_blank">Gartner Hyundai </a>in Aurora/Naperville, IL has just been informed that our first Azera&#8217;s will be shipped April 1st or 2nd, and arriving shortly there</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/all-new-2012-hyundai-azera.aspx" target="_blank">2012 Hyundai Azera </a>is definitely a head turner.  In fact, Al Vinikour of the Chicago Sun-Times said, &#8220;The Eurythimics&#8217; hit song &#8216;Sweet Dreams&#8217; has a famous line, &#8216;Sweet dreams are made of this.&#8217;  After test driving the all-new 2012 Hyundai Azera it sounds like Annie Lennox must have driven one.&#8221;</p>
<p>Haven&#8217;t seen the new 2012 Azera yet?  Just take a look at the picture below.  For me, it was &#8220;Love at First Sight.&#8221;  The Azera is a premium large sedan, comparable in size to the Toyota Avalon, Buick LaCrosse, Nissan Maxima and Ford Taurus.  However, in my opinion, size is the only comparison.  When it comes to styling, ammenities, interior touches and overall appeal of the Azera, the Lexus ES350 comes to my mind.  Sure, there are differences between the Azera and the ES, but most our minor depending on your tastes, unless you are looking at the window sticker of both vehicles.  Price is a HUGE difference between the two cars.</p>

<p>The new Azera will be offered in just one model, as opposed to prior years in which the car was offered in both the GLS and Limited trim levels.  There is one package, the Technology Package available and that package retails for $4,000.  The Technology Package includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>19-inch alloy wheels and tires</li>
<li>Panoramic Sunroof</li>
<li>HID Xenon headlights</li>
<li>Rear parking assistance sensors</li>
<li>Infinity Logic7 14-speaker audio system (550-watts)</li>
<li>Power adjustable tilt and telescopic steering column</li>
<li>Integrated Memory System (IMS): Power Driver&#8217;s seat, exterior mirrors, and steering column</li>
<li>Ventilated front seats</li>
<li>Driver&#8217;s seat cushion extension</li>
<li>Power rear sunshade</li>
<li>Manual side window sunshades</li>
<li>Interior ambient lighting</li>
</ul>
<p>However, please don&#8217;t feel like you need to upgrade; even without the Technology Package, the 2012 Hyundai Azera is inundated with an impressive standard feature line-up.  Here are just a few of the &#8220;Stand Out&#8221; STANDARD features on all Azeras:</p>
<ul>
<li>Navigation system with touchscreen display and rearview backup camera</li>
<li>Blue Link Telematics</li>
<li>Dual Automatic Temperature Control</li>
<li>Bluetooth with phonebook transfer</li>
<li>Leather seating with heated front and rear seats</li>
<li>Proximity key with push-button start</li>
<li>Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)</li>
<li>Electronic Stability</li>
</ul>
<p>The list of standard features just goes on and on and on and&#8230;&#8230; &#8230;&#8230;.. hmmm, ok, I think or hope I made my point here.  Now on to pricing.</p>
<p>The 2012 Hyundai Azera starts out at an MSRP of $32,875, which includes the $875 destination fee.  If opting for the Technology Package, just add $4,000.  Remember the Lexus ES350 I mentioned earlier?  Well, a comparably equipped ES350 would have an approximate MSRP of $45,700 (which does include Navigation and BlueTooth).  Sure, there are a few features lexus offers which the Hyundai doesn&#8217;t, but I know I can live without a full size spare tire.  And, although voice commands for the Nav System and swiveling headlights are nice, are they really worth $9,000?  You be the judge.</p>

<hr />Call it human nature, call it the &#8220;glass is half empty&#8221; syndrome, or call it whatever you like, people have a tendency to only talk about the negatives.  How does the old saying go, &#8220;Have a good experience tell one person; have a bad experience tell ten people?&#8221;</p>
<p>Well, at Gartner Hyundai, we are not immune to this either.  There are times when, for whatever reason, we run into someone who might be having a bad day and take it out us, and let&#8217;s face facts, we work in the car industry, and from what we&#8217;ve heard, some people just don&#8217;t like us&#8230;(said jokingly).  And, unfortunately, we like other folks sometimes tend to dwell on that.</p>
<p>Hence the reason for this blog.  For every one person who isn&#8217;t the most pleasant to deal with, Gartner Hyundai has at least a hundred customers who are an absolute joy to work with.  And, without you, we obviously wouldn&#8217;t be here today. So, for that, we would like to say THANK YOU &#8211; THANK YOU &#8211; THANK YOU!!!!</p>
<p>First and foremost, we appreciate you giving Gartner Hyundai the opportunity to earn your business whether it be in sales, service or parts.  We know that you work hard for your money, and there are plenty of places to buy and service a vehicle,  so to have you walk through our doors, we are truly grateful.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.jdpower.com/" target="new">J.D. Power and Associates</a> designated the <a title="Equus Inventory" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-equus" target="_blank">2011 Hyundai Equus</a> as its most appealing large premium car in the 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study? as Hyundai soared in the annual owner survey. In its 16th year, the APEAL study examines owners’ assessments of the design, content, layout, and performance of their new vehicle. Vehicles and their brands are scored on a 1,000 point scale.</p>
<p>The Equus exceeded 900 points in this year’s study, achieving the highest APEAL score of any model in the industry. Equus outscored all other luxury premium sedans and performed considerably better than the segment average in the categories of vehicle exterior, storage, and audio/entertainment/navigation.</p>
<p>“The Equus has the distinction of being the highest-performing model in the 2011 APEAL Study,” said J.D. Power and Associates. “The Hyundai Equus has achieved an impressive introduction into the marketplace from a performance, execution and layout perspective.”</p>
<p>Overall, Hyundai was the most-improved nameplate in the industry and moved up 13 rank positions and 33 points to place 15th in 2011. This is the highest Hyundai has ever ranked in the APEAL Study, finishing ahead of all the Asian and U.S. domestic non-premium brands. The improvement is driven primarily by two of its redesigned models, the <a title="Sonata Inventory" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-sonata" target="_blank">Sonata</a> and <a title="Elantra Inventory" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-elantra" target="_blank">Elantra</a>, which improve by 57 and 35 points, respectively.</p>
<p>“We are thrilled with the recognition of Equus and the Hyundai brand as a whole in this year’s J.D. Power and Associates APEAL study,” said Frank Ferrara, executive vice president, Customer Satisfaction, Hyundai Motor America. “With the success of our Equus flagship and the unique appeal of our dynamically designed and fuel-efficient Elantra and Sonata, we’re continuing our quest to satisfy all types of American car buyers.”</p>
<p>Additionally, in the tightest race in the study, the Hyundai Sonata finished second by just two points – 818 v. 816 – in the midsize car segment.</p>

<p>For current Hyundai Owners and enthusiasts, including everyone here at <a title="Homepage" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/" target="_blank">Gartner Hyundai</a>, Hyundai&#8217;s latetst award from Kelley Blue Book was not that big of a surprise.  Still a great achievement, but the writing was already on the wall.</p>
<p>Kelley Blue Book announced yesterday that Hyundai had taken the #1 spot in brand loyalty, beating out Honda and Toyota, on kbb.com for Q2, 2011.  Automakers have struggled recently to retain loyal customers due to the economic downturn and consumers becoming more aware of issues such as fuel prices and safety recalls.</p>
<p>Hyundai has remained successful through agressive marketing campaigns combined with innovative product redesigns like the successful Sonata and Elantra. In the second quarter of 2011, Hyundai’s brand loyalty was at 52.3 percent while Honda followed with 49.7 percent and Toyota came in third at 47.7 percent. <a href="http://www.autoguide.com/new-cars/kia/index.html"><span style="color: #c40f12;">Kia </span></a>and <a href="http://www.autoguide.com/new-cars/mini/index.html"><span style="color: #c40f12;">Mini </span></a>are the only two brands that have gained loyalty year-over-year, thanks to attractive redesigns and additional models within their respective lineups coupled to aggressive marketing campaigns.</p>
<p>“Hyundai’s product renaissance is benefitting the company not just by attracting an all-new customer base, but by helping them to retain current loyal Hyundai owners, as well,” said Arthur Henry, market intelligence manager for Kelley Blue Book.  ”This latest brand loyalty analysis from kbb.com is a testament to the power of attractive vehicle designs and intriguing marketing in the minds of in-market <span style="color: #006400;">car</span> shoppers as they consider their next vehicle.”</p>
<p>Gartner Hyundai has seen first hand the number of repeat Hyundai buyers.  We hear comments everyday like, &#8220;This is my 4th Hyundai&#8221;, &#8220;I drove a Honda for years, but I am so happy I went with Hyundai&#8221;.  But, the comment we still hear alot, usually from first time Hyundai buyers is:  &#8220;Wow, I can&#8217;t believe this is a Hyundai!&#8221; </p>

<p>Car shopping can without a doubt be a daunting process at times. Although a lot of dealers now practice ethical sales processes, and with so much information on the internet, an educated consumer can usually pick out the &#8220;Bad Apples&#8221; from the bunch, car buying can still cause a headache or two for some. Aside from all the obvious car buying obstacles, i.e. <em>what kind of car to buy, how much can I afford, am I getting a good deal, etc&#8230;..</em>there are a few less thought of hurdles that some may encounter.</p>
<p>For example, have you ever spoke to a salesperson, and they are just rattiling off features, most of which are acronyms, and the salesperson never really bothers explaining what they stand for, let alone, what they do?  Of course, there are the more common namestays like ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes), but does everyone really know what TPMS or OCS stands for, and better yet, what are the benefits of these features?</p>
<p>Well, at <a title="Homepage" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/" target="_blank">Gartner Hyundai</a>, we try everyday to make car buying easier and more enjoyable.  So, whether you visit us, or someone else, here is a list explaining some of the most common car acronyms in the market today.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>ABS  =   Anti-lock Braking System</strong>.  Benefit = allows driver to maintain steering control during a hard braking situation.  The steering wheel will never lock up.  ABS automatically “pumps” the brakes for the driver. ·         <strong>CVVT = Continuously Variable Valet Timing</strong>.  Benefit = CVVT offers the benefit of having independent control over the intake and exhaust valves of the engine, creating better performance, and usually better fuel economy.  
<p>·         <strong>OCS  =  Occupant Classification System</strong>.  Benefit = a set of sensors detect the weight, seating position, and whether or not the passenger is wearing a seatbelt.  Based on that data, in conjunction with dual-stage airbags, the OCS tells the airbag whether or not a child or adult is sitting in the seat, AND how the airbag (if at all) should be deployed in the event of a collision. </li>
<li>·         <strong>TPMS = Tire Pressure Monitoring System</strong>.  Benefit = The TPMS will alert the driver if one of the 4 tires is at a lower pressure than the other 3, reducing the chance for flats, blowouts, and also increased fuel economy since all 4 tires will be at the same and correct pressure.</li>
<li>   ·         <strong>EBD  =    Electronic Brake Force Distribution</strong>.  Benefit = EBD keeps the tires from locking up in a hard braking situation.  Additionally, oversteering by the driver is prevented by maintaining the proper brake force to the inner and outer wheels. ·         <strong>MDPS= Motor Driven Power Steering</strong>.  Benefit = MDPS works with the electronic stability control (ESC) of a car to provide handling assistance in slippery conditions or sudden cornering.  It can also deliver some counter steer to help the driver maintain control. 
<p>·         <strong>ESC =     Electronic Stability Control</strong>.  Benefit = ESC is a computerized technology that improves safety of a vehicles stability by detecting and minimizing skids. When ESC detects loss of steering control, it automatically applies the brakes to help “steer” the vehicle where the driver intends to go.  Braking is applied to wheels individually. </p>
<p>·         <strong>TCS =     Traction Control System.  </strong>Benefit = TCS momentarily applies the brakes to one of the drive wheels whenever the wheel speed sensors indicates a wheel is going faster than the others during acceleration.  Thereby keeping constant and equal speed to all wheels, equaling better traction and stability.<strong> </strong> </p>
<p><strong> </strong>·         <strong>GDI =     Gasoline Direct Injection.</strong>  Benefit =  GDI is a variant of fuel injection using highly pressurized gas that is injected via a common rail fuel line directly into the combustion chamber of each cylinder as opposed to the conventional multi-port fuel injection that happens in the intake tract, giving the engine higher fuel economy and a high power output.<strong> </strong> </p>
<p><strong> </strong>·         <strong>DRL =     Daytime Running Lights.</strong>  Benefit = DRL keeps the vehicles headlights (usually on a lower beam) during the day, making the vehicle more visible to oncoming traffic.<strong> </strong> </p>
<p><strong> </strong>·         <strong>HAC =   Hillstart Assist Control.</strong>  Benefit =  HAC stops the car from rolling back for the first few moments of a hill start, up or down by automatically maintaining brake pressure.<strong> </strong> </p>

<p>The latest award comes from the consistently reliable Consumer Reports Guide.  In fact, they are naming the 2011 Hyundai Elantra, <a title="Consumer Reports Report" href="http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/new-cars/cr-recommended/top-picks/small-car/index.htm" target="_blank">&#8220;Their New Top Pick</a>&#8221; among small sedans, beating out mainstays like the Nissan Sentra, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Corolla.</p>
<p>Of course, one of the main reasons the <a title="Elantra Inventory" href="http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-elantra" target="_blank">Hyundai Elantra </a>is so attractive to consumers, as well as, critics is the fuel-economy.  The Elantra is projected to receive 40 mpg Highway, and a very realistic 29 mpg in the city.  And, with gas prices expected to hit $5.00 per gallon, every MPG matters.</p>
